Mission Control: Locking Down BC UI

Overview

As part of Cavallo's integration with Business Central, admins can restrict certain actions within the Business Central user interface to ensure its users follow the Cavallo workflow  and its corresponding business rules. This support article provides a guide on how to start using this feature today.

Permissions

Two permission levels can access this page in Business Central:

• Business Central Super Users
• Cavallo All Access Permission

These permission sets not only allow navigation to this page but also exempt users from the configured settings. All actions on the page will be visible and fully functional for members of these groups.

For all other users, once the toggles are set, they will lose visibility and the ability to take action on the selected items from the corresponding sales document cards, as well as from anywhere within the Cavallo Mission Control dashboards.

Note: Other third party applications may override our security allowing these actions to reappear.

General Actions

The below list of actions will encompass sales quotes and sales orders:

Release Documents: Disables the ability to release sales quotes and sales orders

Reopen Documents: Disables the ability to reopen sales quotes and sales orders

Archive Documents: Disables the ability to archive the document

Open in Cavallo: Disables the ability to Open in Cavallo from Business Central

Quote-Specific Actions

When enabled, the below actions will be hidden/disabled within Business Central for sales quotes:

Make Order: Disables the ability to create an order from a quote

Make Invoice: Disables the ability to create an invoice from a quote

Order Specific Actions

When enabled, the below actions will be hidden/disabled within Business Central for sales orders:

Reserve Inventory: Disables the ability to reserve sales lines manually

Post Orders: Disables the ability to reserve sales lines manually

Create Warehouse Shipment: Disables the ability to manually create inventory picks and putaways

Create Inventory Pick/Putaway: Disables the ability to manually create inventory picks and putaways
